Over the next weekend (Saturday through Monday), we will be rebooting machines and performing some maintenance, during which some services will be down. We don’t expect any single outage to last more than an hour or so.

All UGCS shellservers (the machines you log in to) will be rebooted around Noon today to complete some software updates.
Update: All machines have been rebooted and are back up.
We will have a UGCS sysadmin meeting this Sunday, November 2, at 5pm in the UGCS lab. Despite its name, it is open to all who are interested in UGCS. We will discuss our plans for the upcoming year, including hardware purchases, lab improvements, and new features. Come if you have thoughts, want to know what’s going to happen, or just want to meet your sysadmins.
