Exterior

Outside, it's a normal 2U server with 2 hotswap hard drive bays and 2 normal drive bays. On the back, it has an external SCSI connector on a PCI card. Not much special other than it's ugly. It doesn't have any locks either. There is a switch on the power supply too, so if the computer doesn't turn on, check that.

The two bays in the middle are hotswap SCSI bays, the two panels on the left are for normal (not meant to be hot-swapped easily, but maybe it can be done?) SCSI drives. The two hot-swap bays already have drives in them.

Inside

There are two processor slots, although only one is being used. There are two SCSI connectors on the motherboard. They are of opposite gender, but I don't really know what to make of this because I've never worked with SCSI devices. Either way, they aren't connected- the SCSI cable is from a PCI card in the back. There is also a dual-ethernet PCI card in it (kinda like the 2U Athlons).

Bootup

To turn it on, double-click the power button. There is no BIOS password. It has an 800mhz PIII with 2GB ram. The SCSI card is an Adaptec AIC-7896 card with BIOS v.2.20S1B1. It has lilo on it and Red Hat Linux with a 2.2 kernel. I turned off the machine during the boot process because I didn't want to bother changing the password.
