Dionysus is one of two UGCS application servers. It is being phased out as the various programs are moved to Hestia.

Hardware

Configuration

  • Login access: sysadmins
  • Cfengine class coreserver, web, multiplecronserver, pgp_server

Disks

  • /dev/md1: raid1, /dev/sd[a-d]1, mounted on /boot (total size 31MB)
  • /dev/md2: raid5, /dev/sd[a-d]3, LVM physical volume in volume group "dionysus" (total size 30GB)

LVM

  • Volume Group "dionysus" on /dev/md2 (total size 30GB)
    • LV dionysus-root: mounted on / (total size 5GB)
    • LV dionysus-pgp: mounted on /mnt/pgp (total size 20GB)
    • LV dionysus-afscache: mounted on /var/cache/openafs (total size 2GB)

Services

  • PGP keyserver
  • Many Remctl services, including
    • Account creator remctl (creates the principal when you enter your password into the account creator)
    • Vhost config update remctls (obsolete, but still there)
    • Job removal
    • Automated Password Reset
  • Apache
    • It used to be configured as a secondary web server.
  • Multiplecron
