Matlab on UGCS

UGCS supports Matlab for our users. Since it is licensed under Caltech's site license, you may only use Matlab if you are a currently Caltech student, faculty, or staff member. We currently have Matlab R2009a.

Matlab can be run by simply running "matlab". If you are running it without a terminal (such as from a "Run Program..." dialog box), you need to pass the "-desktop" argument, (so run "matlab -desktop").

Matlab is installed in /opt/matlabR2009a.
