UGCS Utilities

We've written several different commands to help you use UGCS more efficiently. Here is a list of them and some documentation.

Cluster status

• ruptime/rwho- see the status of the cluster
  • ruptime-shell, ruptime-mortal, ruptime-core: See uptimes of a given class of machines

Parallel Computing

• mssh- run a command on several computers at once

Webhosting commands

• create-vhost- Creates a virtual host (See also UGCS virtual hosting)
• setup-mediawiki Installs a mediawiki to a given directory. See Mediawiki on UGCS for more information.
• update-mediawiki Updates the given mediawiki.

Mail configuration

• mailman - Create and update mailing lists. See mailing lists for more information.
• mail_forward - Create and update mail forwarding addresses. See email forwarding for more information.
• mail_alias - Create and update mail aliases. See email aliases for more information.

Other utilities

• ldapedit Lets you easily edit ldap entries. See LDAP for more information.
