Hardware Giveaway

Jump to: navigation, search

From time to time, we clear out old hardware. Before giving it to e-waste, we offer it to our users. Here is a list of the stuff we are currently giving away. If you would like the hardware, please contact a sysadmin.

Pukes

The "puke-class" machines are Dell workstations from ~2000. They have dual-PIII motherboards with SCSI and IDE controllers, onboard sound, and an AGP slot. They have various hard drives in them, and they all have cd-rom drives. They may need some spare parts- in particular, their video cards tend to overheat and die quite often.

We have 13 of these machines, and plenty of spare parts. If you would like one or more for you or your group, please add the name of the group below, followed by your name so we may contact you.

To Trash

  • Most of the UGCS Library
    • With the exception of a few books, we will be getting a rid of the old UGCS Library- it is too out-of-date for us to keep around.
