Replace Apollo
- Apollo is currently on an old machine, and is slow-ish and replacement parts are impossible to get.
- We could replace it with a lower-end fileserver (it wouldn't handle as much as athena but would handle some stuff and lots of redundancy stuff
New webserver
- We could get a new machine to be a second webserver (and set up redundancy/failover for web hosting)
- Or we could use existing Einux machine we have
Mortals
Our current mortals cluster, well, sucks.
Use existing machines
- We recently got a few dual opteron machines from GPS. They are a huge improvement over our current setup.
Buy new machines
- We can get an intel core quad machine for $400 (doesn't include a case)
Switch
We need a new switch badly. We are running out of network ports and don't have very many gige ports.
Desired Features

- 24 or 48 ports
- VMPS / Cisco support to interact with our other switches
- MAC based vlan assignment
