UGCS Job Posting

UGCS offers a job posting service for its users. Any user can add a job description to a file in /afs/ugcs/drop/jobs, and it will be shown to users when they log in. You can remove your job listing through a remctl command,

remctl dionysus jobs remove <name of file>

We suggest you create the file somewhere else and then copy it into the drop directory when you are finished. Otherwise, things like swapfiles and backup files end up in the directory, and it's just a mess.

If you do not have a UGCS account but wish for us to post your job opportunity, please contact a sysadmin with your job description, and we will add it for you.

If you do not want to see job postings when you log in, you can create a file ~/.nojobs You can do this by running

touch ~/.nojobs

If you change your mind, you can remove the file with

rm -f ~/.nojobs

If you have complaints about job listing please contact a sysadmin.
