We have a few issues that we need to start thinking about to plan for the next year.
Colocating policies
At the current rate, we will run out of colocation space pretty quickly. We need to decide what we're going to do, if anything, to restrict the availability of colocation space.

- While I would like to avoid supplanting the desktops of UGCS with rows on rows of colocation racks, such a fate is a long way off. What would it take (besides racks, switch ports, and IP allocations) to just enlarge our colocation space? Ckennelly@ugcs.caltech.edu 12:14, 24 August 2008 (PDT)
- We are kinda confined by the space we have. We don't have a lot of crap sitting around anymore, but don't have a lot of space to put another colo rack nicely. Also, racks and switch ports aren't cheap- a rack is a couple hundred, and another switch is another couple of hundred at least. Also, over the past year, we have added 4 or 5 machines- we can't afford to keep growing colo machines at this rate very long.
Other services
We need to decide what other services we want to offer to the community and how to implement them. See also Wishlist
