Mathematics, Magick, and Metaphor

Reading List

Here are the readings. I don't actually care if you read them or not. they're all things I think will compliment the lectures, so if you'd like addtional information on anything we're covering, try this list.

Lesson One: Introduction -- Magick Without Tears (Crowley), A Mathematician's Apology (Harding), Men of Mathematics (unsure, will look up), Ritual Magick (E.M. Butler), Calculus, Volume I Intorduction (Apostle). Also, I think this sums up what it means to be a mathematician. It's the eulogy given by Barry Simon (a world-class numerical analyst) for Thomas Wolff. Tom Wolff was the best mathematician it's ever been my privilage to work with, and a hermetic alchemist on top of it. He died this summer. Read and you will understand.
