Patrick, Joel, BG, and Jeff did a dayhike loop over Cloudripper and Vagabond Peak from South Lake. We scrambled the West chute, which was mostly class 2 with a few class 3 sections, and involved a lot of loose rock. Descending the route seemed unappealing, so we returned via Green Lake (a route which involved a fair amount of talus-hopping itself).
