| Thursday, January 26, Patagonian ice fields and Sierra ice : Renowned mountain guide Robert "SP" Parker as he tells us about his traverse of the Patagonian Ice-cap (his was the first ascent of a new route), and about the ice-climbing opportunities in our own California Sierra. SP is the established expert and author of guide-book on Sierra Ice. About 100 in attendance for a fantastic talk, with snacks and beer. Some lucky souls even answered trivia questions to win copies of SP's Sierra ice climbing guidebook! |
| January 28-29: Avalanche Safety Course 2012 attended by 20 people |

| February 1st, Tour of Stoney Point Climbs by the guidebook author himself, Chris Owen. Around 12 members attended. |
