Patrick, Pratyush, Marc, Bill, and Nisheeth climbed Middle Pal in the fall of 2009 by the class Northeast face route. Minimal glacier to cross (ice axes sped it up but probably weren't strictly necessary). We ascended a 4th class variation to cross from the glacier to 3rd class chute, but managed to locate the standard, easier (class 3) access on the way down. Also, at the summit, instead of finding the standard route to the East we took a more exposed variation to the West side involving an airy step-across. At Glacier Lodge we were passed by adventure runner Leor Pantilat, who has an excellent trip report!
