For 24 years, Mountainfilm has brought together adventure, travel, unique personalities and important social messages in a travelling evening of film. Whether it is the story of a gripping adventure, a struggle for environmental justice or an intimate glimpse into another culture, the films at Mountainfilm expose people to forward-thinking ideas, global awareness and personal integrity. With films this year about climbing, skiing, kayaking, environmentalism and wildlife, this is an event not to be missed!
Tickets available at the Caltech Box Office (1-888-2CALTECH) or at REI Arcadia (626-447-1062). Tickets are $10 in advance/$12 at the door/$5 Caltech students.

DOOLITTLE DOES SOMETHING

Winner: Best Environmental Advocacy film 2002 Howard Donner Environmentalism at its best in Telluride. This is a fast-paced look at how one person can make a difference. USA, 15 min.

UNCOMMON GROUND
Rob Frost There is a lot of climbing in the northeastern United States, ranging from traditional to sport climbing, bouldering to hairy first ascents. Rob Frost's film has you at the edge of your seat, holding your breath for those fingers to grip, the foot to find a hold and the rope to do its job. Excellent climbing, fun interviews and beautiful scenery meld into a great climbing film. USA, 45 min.
MINI GOLF IN THE CHUGACH
Ben Knight Forget tapping little balls around a putt-putt green, "mini-golf" is an Alaskan heli-ski term for short and steep. Alaska... where every run is the best run of your life. Eleven minutes, no plot - just loud music, video and pretty pictures. USA, 11 min.
KAYAK ISLANDA
