One of the better drawn cels of Lain, in my opinion, her head looks like
less of a bowling ball. Sadly, I can't have a cel of this quality (or
better) of the bear pajamas (so cute!) or a nice one of her in her school
uniform and hat (expensive). However, I like this outfit. It's certainly
more flattering than the "isn't that cut just a little too low?" slip she
spends a lot of the series in. I also feel this cel shows a lot more
color than most of them too, which comes off quite nicely.
While I didn't like lain as much on repeat viewings, it deserves at least
a second run through. All of a sudden, the babble that goes on in the
wired early on makes sense, like the woman upset that someone wearing a
green and red striped sweater is after her. Just remember kiddies, the
population of the earth is still orders of magnitude below the number of
neurons in your brain. Ah well, I can never resist the well done Weird,
Layer 0:1.
