Citlug

I am currently the secretary of the Caltech Linux Users Group (CITLUG). We are a general Linux help forum for users of any experience level. We also make trips to computer shows to pick up discounted computer equipment as a service.

Current Projects

VACA 3D World Viewer

World viewer is designed to be a generic 3D graphics C++ class. It can be incorporated quickly and easily into virtually any program on virtually any platform. It has an internal "world" that objects are loaded into. A camera is then positioned and the image is returned. It will be able to do high quality or high speed.

For more detailed information, see the Official Project Page at Sourceforge.

C Tutorial

Caltech used to teach it's introductory Computer Science course in C. They have recently decided to switch to Scheme instead. C/C++ is the primary language used for software development today. Caltech currently offers NO courses designed to teach C to someone not already a competent programmer.

Recognizing the need for such a project, I have started writing a C tutorial that will be available to everyone with a browser. You can find what I have so far here.

If you have any suggestions for good examples or organizing the subject matter, pleast feel free to e-mail me.
