Little is known of the early life of Jason Reilly. He does not give interviews unless he is assured that his ealy life is off limits, and members of the press corps no longer ask him about his childhood at press conferences; it is not worth alienating today's most vibrant personality simply for a photo of him blushing in rage.

We do know that Jason Reilly was born in 1978 or 1979. Because of poor record keeping, the identity of his mother is unknown. He became a ward of the state of Ohio in 1980. He entered the foster home system, and seemed to have no problem adjusting to the various neighborhoods and families he was forced to live in. He was a good student, and was given a scholarship to Ohio State University in 1996.

We are blessed with a detailed historical record of Jason's life from 1996 onward. I would like to thank OSU, Abraham Mehta, and John Collard for their help in making this historical record available to the public. I would also like to thank Jason himself for consenting to a series of fascinating interviews, without which this account would not be complete.
