Clara (guitarist). Clara started playing guitar in 8th grade. She was allowed to do this on the condition that she would only play acoustic guitar. A few months later she got her first electric guitar and it was awesome.

She played Green Day songs and Nirvana songs and all sorts of other songs, all the while carefully avoiding any requests to play at mass at her catholic high school. She and her friend Shelley did, however, write a song called "The Sun's Not Shining (Die! Die! Die!); they sang it at senior banquet and had the fun of leading about 200 catholic school girls in a chant of "die! die! die!"

Like the rest of the band, Clara was accepted into Caltech, where she prefroshed with Rui. In 2001, Rui and Clara saw Josie and the Pussycats and decided to form a band.
