Loony

Picture, if you will:
A pair of full moons
Each hangs gorgeous above the trees
Each stirs the soul into a blue vortex
Nearly identical, but separated
By a month of inconsequential enormities
Birthdays, milestones, and visits
A Goliath-esque rollercoaster of moments
All overshadowed by a fiery glow
Which newly tinges all the month's blue moments
With an inexhaustibly joyous red
You
The accumulated years of disillusion
Crumbling into hope
Awestruck by the simplicity
Of implausibly reasonable contradictions
Lust without shame
Friendship without betrayal
Love without compromise
Emotions dance, confused by their freedom
Whirling through space on beams of starlight
Dancing joyously in the warm orange embrace
Of an eternal celestial sunrise
And the mistress of moments smiles knowingly
Peering curiously into the future
At the eternal months to come
The moon sees it all
