Latest news July 7th, 2003 - New Scientist has published an article claiming that solar sails don't work. It is based on a web page by Dr. Thomas Gold. This story is also carried by SpaceDaily. I have written the following letter to the editors of New Scientist explaining why Dr. Gold's claims are incorrect.
