Hi! Laura Rogers, Rohit Thomas, and myself (David Stafford) Would like to like to do a robotics project for cs81 and me110 independent laboratory credit this term and need a faculty mentor.

The project involves the complete design and fabrication of a robot that can collect printouts from the UGCS printer and deliver the printout to the user. We have already completed two circuit boards, a cardboard mockup of the robot, and a literature survey of available navigation algorithms.

I will be working on the electronics and the vision software, Rohit Thomas will design the navigation algorithms, and Laura Rogers will design and fabricate the actual robot. Rohit Thomas and I would like to receive cs81 credit and Laura Rogers would like to receive me110 credit.

We have a timetable which would complete the robot by the 8th week of the term, leaving 3 weeks left for final integration and testing. If you like, we can show you our timetable, or the progress we have made so far. We plan to keep a weekly progress log which will be accessible on the web.

We are hoping that you could sponsor rohit and myself for CS credit and someone from ME will sponsor Laura for ME credit. Does this work out? Is there anything else we need to do?
