Shows in Academic Year 1999-2000 June, 2000, Court of Man, Caltech Ray Bradbery gave a very cool commencement speach, and Ecphonema got to introduce him! Coming up with sometime to sing for him was tough, and we finally decided on Rocket Man, by Elton John. All those people, all those watts... enough said. At the Sherman-Fairchild Amphitheater, an excellent but previously unused venue, Ecphonema had its end of the year, sing all we know, have loads of fun concert.
We finally did what we've been planing for literally years: went and sang on the street corner in Old Tow Pasadena. And we loved it! More importantly, people walking around loved it, hung out, listened to nearly the whole set, and donated money.March, 2000, Dabney Hall Caltech Together with Out of Context and Treble Makers, Ecphonema hosted Stanfords Fleet Street Singers. They were amazing! Thanks for coming over and singing with us, guys!
Only two weeks later, we had our third annual Love (still) Sucks (at Caltech) concert. Besides Ecphonema, present were the usual suspects, Treble Makers and Out of Context, but we were also happy to welcome another on-campus a cappella group, Lovin' Tuneful.February, 2000, Caltech Our first performace in the year 2000, for the Caltech Development Office.
