Mission Statement

The BUSAC of the California Institute of Technology is a student-run agency for the promotion and facilitation of communication between undergraduate students and faculty in the Division of Biology. The committee aims to provide a forum for ideas relating to the improvement and sustained excellence of the biology curriculum and instruction.

Our focus is to provide an environment in which students and faculty can express their ideas and concerns about issues within the division, as well as to give an opportunity for open discussion.

Our aim is to use this feedback to improve the biology curriculum and instruction for undergraduates at Caltech, as well as to reinforce aspects of the two that are already outstanding.

We believe in creating a secure and open-minded atmosphere within this committee that promotes mutual respect, honest exchange of ideas, and fairness. Members of BUSAC are dedicated to the betterment of Caltech biology for undergraduates.
