As the only Trini undergrad currently at Caltech, I take it as my solemn duty to rave about my home country, Trinidad and Tobago.

It bears our motto, "Together we aspire, Together we achieve"
Trinidad is the southernmost island of the West Indian archipelago.
The West Indies is also known as the Caribbean, and is right next to South and Central America.
See? This is a map if the Caribbean. Tobago is right next to Trinidad.
Random facts (lots of ppl ask me these things):
The two islands form one country.
We've been independent since 1962.
The official language is English, (or some form of it, anyway).
The population is about 2M.
The capital city is Port-of-Spain.
The Prime Minister is Basdeo Panday.
The President is A. N. R. Robinson.
