IHC Meeting: Ruddock House
Everyone present except for Mike from Blacker; Leo Rozenberg (VP) showed up instead of Natalia who is already on her way to Belgium!
(for clarification: Mike=Blacker Mike; Lammers=Page Mike; Tom=Fleming Tom; Tom2=ASCIT Tom)

Jeremy & Business:
1. Website needs to year changed on it for the roster-Neda will take care of that.
2. Emergency Drill: This will be on April 22. IHC has mixed feelings about this-some people think that not many people will participate in it. Also we're upset that the In-n-Out that follows this will be counted as one of our barbeques. Tom realized that he wanted to be a waling  wounded
3. Parties during Exam Period: IHC never instilled a policy saying that there should be no parties during exams. Jeremy would like us to straighten this out. Lammers said he thinks it is in the Alcohol Policy. Jessie mentioned that Dabney had problems with this-they couldn't register a gathering because it was on the Friday before the study period.
4. Barbeques: We need to talk to Natalia and/or Andre about the fact that we are not getting the barbeques we were suppose to this year-they are all being combined with something else. (clarifications made by Natalia, later on: "in-n-out after the emergency drill does not count as the bbq that cds gives us per term - it counts as the in-n-out day of third term. which makes things chaotic and will be somewhat unfair to those living off and coming for the emergency drill who will think that in-n-out is part of the festivities and then realize they have to pay $15 for a burger. The food committee was not consulted at all about this which is too bad. The bbq we have this term for sure is the "chandler bbq" where they get all that wierd meat. i will be pushing melissa to make sure the other two bbqs are scheduled and that andre has approved the date - last term we were supposed to have a bbq the last week of classes people on a team don't
5. Meeting with RAs: Friday night is bad, so Jeremy will talk to Kim and come up with a better day.

Other Business:
1. "F*** Ruddock" Signs: Jason asked if we knew who did them. Kristen said that she now knew who it was who had made the signs-it was not a house idea or event. She apologized for the signs. On that note Kristen and Lammers discussed if it was Pageboys who had wrote Page on the chessboard on the wall of Lloydhe Friday before the study period. discussed the fact that Lloydies were throwing bottle rockets into the Ruddock courtyard during OPI building. Conclusion: Lloydies have WAY too much time on their hands!
2. Page party: Lammers discussed the Page part/carnival which will most probably be during the second week of the third term. Jessie mentioned that this would be during the ASCIT retreat, but Jeremy said that the retreat wouldn't be at Capra, so it was okay. Lammers said that anyone who wants to help out is more than welcomed to come out and help. He also saw hoe much alcohol was kept by Kim West, and again it's not much. He asked if we minded if all of it was used for this event-everyone seemed pretty okay with this. What this event will entail: it's a sort of combat event in the late afternoon with sumo suits, jousting event, "chariot" races, mud wrestling (suggested by Jessie and Kristen), and tug of war, etc. People will be participating in teams-but people on a team don't necessarily have to be from one house; there can be multiple teams from one house. And then during the night, there will be the party in the RF courtyard, with music and a bar. (Remember: "ASCIT brings you donuts, IHC brings you booz!")
3. Pre-frosh weekend: Leo asked if it was okay to have two pre-frosh in the same room and have the host spend the night elsewhere. IHC is okay with this; Jeremy said it was okay as long as the hosts check up on their pre-frosh.
4. Meetings with Margo: Jason asked if we could have our monthly meetings with Margo Marshak-it's important in the whole student-administration communication thing. Lammers suggested that Jeremy go and talk to Suzette personally, quicker to get dates that way. On that note Leo said that it might also be nice to bring some members of the house with us that value house traditions and such to such an informal meeting. This way Margo can hear about student opinions in a constructive setting (think of it as "Margo Initiations"!). Jessie noted that it would be best if we made sure that the people we were bringing would give constructive comments. Kristen said that maybe we could meet with Margo when we meet with the RAs, but most of the IHC felt that there were separate points.
5. New RAs: Lloyd and 1170 will definitely be looking for new RAs for next year-any other houses?
6. Ath man: Tom Juliano asked to be emailed about when and where meetings will be (Neda will do this). Also he was wondering who he should talk to with regards to the website-Shane.
7. Froshies Leaving: Lammers asked if anyone else felt like a lot of frosh were leaving Caltech this year-he has felt this in Page (We just assured him that it was Lammers who they were running away from and not Caltech!). Tom and Leo mentioned the Fleming and Ricketts had a lot of Froshies who left last year.
8. Clean up from Parties: Jessie told us that Maintenance can no longer help clean up after parties-they will have to charge the houses for any extra work they do. Tom said that he had the same problem in Fleming last year after BFP. Lammers said that he had heard that anything that's not in their contract they have to charge us for. Evidently this has always been the policy, just never enforced. Well that sucks!

Next meeting: April 1 in Blacker (and for reals!)
