Missing: Neda (lazy bum), Kristen
Vote: Jeremy doesn't get to tell us where to go and when
Jeremy: faculty board meeting
Changed the charge significantly from what we saw; seem reasonable though; left stuff out like having a third of the committee students
Margo brought it up, faculty supportive, although some were questioning why it took so long
Looked like the faculty was going to say that "its cool, go ahead Margo" but Baltimore told them to be responsible and to take care of it themselves
Gary Lordon was super in our favor; he made motions numerous times; they passed a motion unanimously that this committee will be set up by the faculty board; did not talk about logistics (like how many committee members, etc.); Goodwin seemed concerned about having the whole
IHC on it - too many people. Optimistic though.
Goodwin asked Margo for list of faculty members to serve, Margo asked Jeremy.

We are looking for people who will agree with us

Housing committee members:
Kim Border (he agreed that Housing Committee shouldn't single handily take care of this)
Paul Asimow (good guy, doesn't really interact with undergrads tho)
John Bercaw (huh?)
Jeffrey Blake (Gary Lorden likes him, but he is pretty new)
Tim Downs (not faculty member)
Cathy Jurca (has lots of experience; has not changed opinion since town hall meeting)
David Wales (was MOSH at some point, cool guy, not great but not objectable)

We are all for: Gary Lordon
Chris Brennen (has he been around tho?)
Natalia recommends Brain Slotz (check spelling), John Eiler
Frauchi? He seems a little out of touch - no
What about the dean? Barbara might be good but she is not faculty
Margo wants Tom Mannion; some discussion
OUR LIST Gary Lorden Brian Stoltz Mariam Bonnen-Fraser Chris Brennen Emlyn Hughes Warren Brown Richard Murray Niles Pierce John Eiler
Jeremy wants to co-chair; seems like a good idea
Apparently back in the day there was a faculty on the IHC
Hopefully committee will be set up by the end of the week and meetings will start next week
New Moore funds awards are now published
DDR tournament machine got approved
Was under 10G total
Its not advertised well enough!!!
Chinese Moon Festival good $, so did quiz bowl (Jeremy will forward the email to us)
Totem funding got rejected
Vanderslice:
Registrar interview - next Monday the 17th one of the potential registrars will be here for interviews; right now Tom & grad rep will eat lunch with the candidate, point is for us to talk to them about role with students, what we want to see in the office so they have better idea of what they should say in the real interviews; seemed to want 1-2 more undergrads on it - is anyone interested? She's the associated registrar at Pepperdine. This is first round interview.
Lammers: dues check does it have deductions? Deductions from the Dean's office, stuff like that - why is it not explained what the deductions for?
Tom: want to add Kathy Brantly to the Ath list approved (Lammers against b/c its Fleming)
Meeting tomorrow: some big change about summer housing, Avery might be closed down b/c of research summer institute of elite kids according to Jessie
