Email MANNY minutes from last night

Kim B: we can come to Wed meeting-as observers
IHC required to make a presentation in April supporting views
Alternates can come? Sure…though no provisions for alternates on Committee

Pre-Frosh this year: Pre-Frosh in Avery…get a sense from Committee on Wed to put Frosh in Avery (if the idea has merit)
Never had a problem housing the Pre-Frosh in the Student Houses
Knew someone who didn't come to Caltech because couldn't live in Avery-well but they can in special circumstances
If Frosh won't be in Avery, then no point in Pre-Frosh in Avery
Avery is still trying to poll how many people in the House interested in that
Even if this happens, it seems like next year might be too soon
If Houses start being renovated in 2005-how would rotation, etc work?
Either the Cats or temporary housing
How will rotation, etc work?-it will work. And we will make it work
From Margo and Tom-rotation will work
Logistics will have to be figured out as things move on…
KimP: It's the people that make the House, not the House building itself
Presentation in April: whatever you want to say
Avery people already written up a document
Want to get discussions rolling
IHC statement of concerns and issues involved will be sent out tomorrow
Tomorrow: 128 BAX-can meet with him anytime

Capra Stuff
In the process of being sold
We will be getting an endowment: $30K
Tom will get to be on Committee, if a lot of people want it, then a student committee to decide

Various people need timelines:
ARC Rep: When will new reps be appointed/elected?
Ruddock has one
If you do or don't: email Jenny Fischer, and KimP
BOC Reps-Page needs one…anyone else?

Housing: When will house room picks for '04-05 occur?
Third term-try to figure out dates
Sixth-seventh week
Room Picks after # frosh
When will summer picks occur?
Whenever…
Since Avery kids will come, need to make that
Storage: Fl 2, Pa 2-3, Ru 2-3, Da 3, Bl 2-3, Ri 3, Ll 3

Other housing issues:
Summer positions--did you know we get housing for the summer?
Rooms that are suppose to be empty are empty, have all the combos, etc
~1 hr/wk
If you won't be here, can pass it to your VP, Sec will get it too:
Everyone will be here
Page-fill your house, or Tim says he will take away the Holly
Demand for Holly is high every year-so not point
Tom says that he will go over Tim to do that…
Amenities in the House horrible-take it one step at a time, and work on it
Then the people will come
Page only wants social members to live in House

After Wed have new Ath man, so he can work on that
