IHC Minutes: March 29, 2004
meeting called to order in Fleming House
all present, no guests
- meeting with Tom before break
- longest dinner ever
- he brought up points about the administration's involvement, also about 8th house that will be created
- alumni dinner last week
- Hesper and Barrett went - good food (and it was free!)
- Barrett talked to some alumni who don't want freshmen in Avery
- Kim: Alumni Association doesn't have an official view on prefrosh issue, so make sure presentation doesn't come across that way
- presentation, presentation, presentation
- Kim will do opening and conclusion
- Penny and Quimby will split up the rest
- Meet tomorrow at 4 in SAC33 to finalize presentation
- Make a handout? - just use slides, put in outline form
- housing renovations
- definitely going for modular housing instead of moving into the Cats (assuming price can be reduced)
- can go take tour of trailers Wednesday morning 9am
- will have to put 3 people in each room, but still less "squeezed in" than we would be in Cats
- trailers will have bathrooms, but not kitchenettes
- maybe get 2-story modular houses, so they'll take up less space
- committee will be set up to look at architect proposals - want undergrad on committee
- RA interviews
- no one knows when they are happening…
- Tom Mannion is really busy, hasn't had time to take care of it
- plans for new campus center
- will go by old security headquarters
- look really nice :)

- discuss athletics - invite Jeff to meeting
- divide frosh numbers (current estimate ~215, 235 with transfers)
