IHC Minutes: April 19, 2004
meeting called to order in Ricketts House
all present, guest: Jeff Kaufman (IHC athman)
- Jeff met with athmen from other houses
- Talk about replacing tennis - Page and Fleming were for it, but not other houses
- Brings out people who don't usually play interhouse sports
- Softball next year - field won't be ready (switch with another sport)
- Interest in setting up new disco-like challenge without major sports
- RAs
- Need to set up dinners with new candidates, can't do Thursday or Friday this week
- Everyone has different first choices (maybe...)
- Room picks
- Lloyd and Dabney are done, Fleming in the middle of it, rest are happening soon
- Dabney and Ricketts let people pick cards in both houses
- ASCIT budget
- No money for IHC, but ASCIT will pay for our copies
- $500 for interhouse parties
- multihouse funding: $300 per house ($100 per term) + $500 for off-campus multihouse
- Avery
- Should we do a survey? - yes, arguments are more convincing with numbers
- Do you want freshmen in Avery in 2005?
- If against it - why? (checkboxes)
- Demographics - year, house membership, where you live, etc
- Would you have wanted to have Avery as an option? (questions from frosh survey)
- Have you ever lived in Avery? - check year

- People in Health Center would rather not have freshmen in Avery
- Committee interviews tomorrow and Wednesday night, need more people to sign up!
