- stewardship committee meeting last night
- went really well
- elections for committee chair next week
- house walkthroughs will happen at least once a term
- someone from housing walking through daily?? - kind of seems like
a waste of time
- damage charges will go through Michael Raven
- Avery timeline
- will update constitution end of this term
- elections probably 2nd week of third term - good to have them
before committee appointments
- CRC reps
- Barbara Green suggested houses elect reps, then IHC can "appoint"
them
- new resolutions
- everyone approved IHC rep should be undergrad
- requiring reps to be elected by house didn't pass, have to wait a
month so will try again Feb. 27 (then only need 6 houses to pass)
- what about letting grad students vote?
- still some debate over this
- will discuss more next Monday
- prefrosh weekend
- problems with some prefrosh only experiencing one house, don't
like it and decide not to come
- want to make sure weekend is more about Caltech and house system
in general - try to limit scare tactics
- problems with grad students interfering with prefrosh? - some went
to house events... they're under rotation rules, send out email just
beforehand
- any way to match up prefrosh to house? - not really, maybe we can
switch if there are serious problems
- leadership training program
- under Jerry Houser
- program is ready, but need core group of students to help spread
word, advertise, gauge general student interest
- talk to leaders in industry, other positions
- active program last year, but most people graduated
- idea is to help people handle problems faced as a leader
- Erik will email IHC, spam houses
