IHC Minutes: October 11, 2005
meeting called to order in Avery
absent: Qing Liu, Brandi Cossairt, Mike Chang (mostly),
Jenny Hsiao, Matt Walker
guests: Harold Hsu (for Qing Liu), Erik Dreyer
- The IHC discusses who should automatically be included on the Avery
ath list. The concensus is that all undergrad Avery members should
(subject to the usual constraints on multi-House members), as well as
grad students currently living in Avery.Reserving parking spots
- The IHC would like to have 16 parking spots in the Avery garage
to be set aside for South House residents (divided up equally),
leaving 12 spots reserved for Avery residents.
- The IHC would also like to try to set aside spots behind Marks
or spots in Holliston for Lloyd and Page.
- Avery should be choosing a damage rep for the Stewardship Committee
at their House meeting tomorrow.
- Avery social budget
- It still looks like Avery's social budget (from the
administration) for this year will be greatly reduced,
although they may get to spend their excess damage fund
on social events for the first time this year.
- It should be possible for them to charge House dues, though,
because the first ~$30/term of House dues are now subsidized
by the student activity fee fund. (Alternatively, now that
all undergrad Avery residents are paying the activity fee as
part of their tuition, Avery should be able to get their share
of the activity fee fund.)
