IHC Minutes: 11/07/06
Meeting called to order in Chandler.
Guests preset: Cathy Jurca (MOSH)
Committee members absent: Jeff Kranski, Issac Garcia-Munoz, Harold Hsu
- Margo is leaving
- Craig Montuori and Todd Gingrich went to Chameau's house to learn that someone in-house will take over for Margo for a couple of months.
- After a few months, a search committee will be formed, and will have to deal with the big question of whether or not Margo's replacement will be a faculty member or not.
- We should make sure to have an IHC member on the committee.
- Open House Tomorrow (Mural Policy)
- (Cathy) - Permissible locations of murals was discussed in conversation with Jeff. Nothing was finalized.
- Cathy figured that posting a strong draft that got a lot of criticism would be more productive than a weak draft that didn't.
- She considers the whole thing to be totally up for revision.
- (Cathy) - Only two people out of ten in the administration didn't want required pre-approval of murals (won't say which two).
- One major problem is non-techers who come for SURF and might be offended by murals (Cathy doesn't know how many people actually complain to housing about this).
- Fleming Ath List
- Fleming wants to add someone to their ath list who was here for two years, worked for 5 years, and is back again. He's an undergrad. It's fine.
