IHC Minutes: 4-6-2007
Meeting called to order in Ricketts

- Parking
- Peter reports that Ricketts and Blacker have been granted spots in the Athenaeum lot
- Peter and Chris will work out a system to divide up the available spots
- Prefrosh Weekend
- We are against having a formal dinner during prefrosh weekend
- Instead we suggest a normal dinner with better food and a reception beforehand. Professors will be invited.
- This maintains House culture while allowing prefrosh to see professor-student interaction
- We will be doing two panel discussions on prefrosh weekend about the house system. A few presidents need to show up to this. Michael will be there.
- Blacker and Dabney Back Yards
- Dabney and Blacker both would like to use that space
- Tim Chang cites policies against unsightly things there
- We should discuss this when we meet with the administration
- We should also discuss other South House maintenance issues
- Speaking of that, we want to get the Damage Fund to stay.
- Student-taught Courses
- Michael has organised five three-unit, pass-fail PA classes for fall term
- The Deans have funding to both pay the instructors and pay for course expenses, as long as less than ten courses are taught
- If anyone has suggestions for classes, tell Michael
- We don't think we really need to have a rollover meeting; it's just a formality at this point.
