Note: Qhimm maintains a patch that automatically detects the version of the software you are using and supports more than versions 1.00 and 1.02. I strongly recommend you use that instead of these patches. Qhimm's Forums are a very good technical resource for Final Fantasy fans. I recommend checking them out if you are having problems.
The following "Chocobo races working under Windows XP" patches are deprecated in favor of Qhimm's patch. Please follow the above link to get Qhimm's FF7 patch, rather than downloading the patches below.
In order to use either of these patches, select the version appropriate to your installation, and run it. When it runs, it will ask for the file to patch. Point it at the main ff7.exe executable file. Enjoy! The above patches have been brought to you by "Dag's Patchmaker".
Alternatively, you can download the .cetra patches, though I don't know yet that they work, or how they work, or anything, so...
You must have ficedula's Cetra program in order to use these patches. (AS YET, THEY ARE UNTESTED.)
