| I took this picture of the boat's name as we were boarding. I was being a tourist. This is the boat we were on. It's very big. We hadn't gone anywhere yet, still at the dock in Vancouver. | ||
| We had some time before the boat was to leave the dock, and Jeffrey and I thought the Vancouver harbor was amazingly clean. I took some pictures. The floatplanes were cool. | ||
| The big boat moved! I am fascinated by cargo boats. The Princess boat docked next to us looked picture worthy as well. | ||
| So while the boat was driving, well I guess perhaps you call it swimming, out from the dock, Mom and Dad and I decided to go out to the bow of the ship to check out the view from there. So forget the view, the front of the boat looked very nice. | ||
| There was also a bell at the front of the boat. It said Volendam 1999, the year the ship was launched. I don't think they actually ring this bell. This other picture is the front of the bottom of the ship. It's kinda ugly. Daddy thinks this picture is stupid. | ||
| These are big mountains, well, piles, of sulfur by the Vancouver Harbor. I don't know what it's for, but it stood out from the scenery. When we came back one of the piles was about 3/4 gone. | ||
| We had to go under the Lion's Gate Bridge to get out, thus begins my series of Lion's Gate pictures. Woot. | ||
| Before we passed, after we passed. | ||
| I was going for an artsy picture. They all look about the same. | ||
| Jeffrey, the front of the boat, and the bridge; the sea and somebody's finger. | ||
| What I would give to live in an ocean-front apartment. | I'm just chillin at the back of the boat, watching Vancouver get smaller. | |
| The trail we left in the water was cool. And this is the back of the boat. | ||
| The trail deserves another picture, and my brother says he thinks this picture looks like he's falling out of the boat. | ||
| The promenade deck and its no-jogging sign. Daddy in their nice ocean view window. | ||
| Dinner the first night. Mom and Dad in plaid, Jeffrey and me in polo. I had a New York Steak that night. It was my second steak of the day (after prime rib for lunch). I also had a nice salad with bacon-Italian dressing, and a rich chocolate cake for dessert. | ||
| Our centerpiece at dinner was real carnations. The weird fluffy looking flower was on the boat somewhere. There were flowers like that everywhere. | ||
| Sunset was beautiful. The night-mode picture was blurry, these are taken on "Auto." My camera's smart. | ||
