Ironically the character which is portrayed as hard-hearted, broken, and destructive, Metaldude, displays a much different side of compassion and friendship. We see this in that he wishes to be with his friends, the fact that he admits personal companionship is quite inconsistent with the vandalous youth we know. Also note the parallel with an actual societal development set forth by Aerosmith and Run D.M.C. and more recently Biohazard and Onyx, that is the combination of heavy metal and rap.
