Thank you for visiting my home page.
I am a graduate student in Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts. I received my bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California, and my high school diploma from John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minnesota. If you're looking to contact me, try my UGCS address if you don't know the UMass one.
My research advisors here at UMass are Scott Auerbach (who is actually a theoretical chemist, but the chemical engineers of the world will forgive him that), and W. Curt Conner. My project is to model diffusion and catalysis in zeolites; the Auerbach group does the modeling end, and the Conner group does the experimental end. My function is to serve as a human bridge between the two groups, and to (we hope) find some neat results along the way.
I am a HUGE fan of the show Futurama, and a slightly less rabid fan of South Park; I've also taken a recent interest in Shark and House. As for baseball, Go Twins! As you may have guessed from some of the links below, I am also a rabid fan of the late Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time. His death from amyloidosis will be mourned by everyone who enjoyed his work, which I consider one of the biggest blows to the literary community in decades.
I maintain (sort of) other web sites, which are listed below.

reading. I am Kaiser Karl, if you were concerned.
