Do I need a focus for spell casting?

Now that I have powerful spells...level 0, do I need a focus to cast spells?
If so what is it?
How much does it cost ?
Do I already have it?

Howdy Alexander!

All divine spellcasters need a focus to pray for and cast their spells, which is invariably the holy symbol of their god. Orisons (0th level spells) fall into a special category, requiring neither focus nor materials to cast. You will need to choose a god by Paladin 4 if you wish to cast 1st level spells.

Holy Symbols come in three categories, as described in the principal spells section. (That page also has the Poor Spell Slot progression, which you asked about in session.) Basic holy symbols cost around 1gp to 10gp. Alexander currently does not have a holy symbol (or a declared god).

Btw, you should let me know once AC figures out his religious affiliation... that way we can set up an appropriate (ahem) initiation ritual.

Hi,
So it looks like I need to decide upon a GOD to worship / follow in a little bit.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Makes me wonder... What would Thor do?...

So let's get some suggestions of GODs please.

Thor sounds cool. Just don't choose Odin, that could get awkward.

On second thought, maybe some interesting roleplay could come out of that.
