Are all Destructors sentient, or at least capable of operating autonomously?
Consider: If Odin 241 is one of at least 241 destructors of his model, and Goliath 49 is one of at least 49 destructors of his model, then that makes at least 290 destructors in existence before the great cataclysm befell the Gordeshi. Supposing perhaps half of them were destroyed (I know, invincible and all that, but they were dealing with a very powerful enemy), then it would mean that in operation at any given time there would have been over 100 destructors. That is far too many for one person to control directly, especially if that person might have been spending at least some of his time working on creating more destructors / repairing damaged destructors. Consider also that Odin 241 will not obey others as he does the Executor, even if the Executor commands it. This would mean that in order to effectively use 100+ destructors, each of them would probably have been given very general orders, and then left to execute them semi-autonomously.
Upshot: This may mean that we could reason (at least to some extent) with Goliath while The Spirit is busy doing his spell thing. |
