Dear Friendly Friend:

OK. So I've had my Dinner Theaters and 14 of them to date. Kim and I were
thinking about a whole new concept. It all started when Maria asked "Why
don't we do some kinda camping event?" We got to thinking and here's we came
up with....

OUTDOOR MOBILE DINNER THEATER

Yes, that's right. It's dinner. Theater's included. Outdoor in God's
glory. And it's mobile, too. We're going to have a camping/movie/
singin'-round-the-campfire/smores-meltin'/barbeque-eatin'/wave-listenin'/
tent-sportin' good time. We're taking Kim's portable habitat (mobile home),
the ENTIRE movie setup, and dinner out to the beach and camping overnight
amidst the waves. This'll happen Saturday, February 12. We'll spend the day
at the beach among the rocks way down PCH (actual beach to be determined)
then camp in tents at the beach after barbequeing, watching a movie, and
general campfire fun.

More details to come. Don't expect anything too elaborate for dishes. I may
be stupid, but I ain't dumb. :-)

Lemme know if you're interested...

-Sonny

Howdy Y'All!

Quick update on OMDT1 - Outdoor Mobile Dinner Theater 1 aka the
EVENT OF MAGNUM PROPORTIONS.

The weather is going to be sunny for sure so we don't have to worry about
rain.

We'll be real close to a new moon so bring flashlights.

It'll be quite nippy so bring at least a blanket.

Chairs for around the campfire would be great.

BYOB.

Cost: $5. This will cover the site and the firewood and partially the food.
There will be a vehicle cost of $6 or less once you get there, so carpooling
is recommended.

Location: Thornhill State Beach. I scoped it out on Tuesday and it's not
very sandy, but it's perfect. It's 34 miles west from Santa Monica on the 10
(PCH). We'll be in and to the right. There are campfire pits and we'll be
a-blazin' starting at sundown.

Try to show up by 4:30pm to watch the sunset.

I'm having a coughing attack so I'll likely take the rest of the day off
today so no more updates for the rest of today.

Everyone's invited, but please let me know beforehand so that I can prepare
enough food.

Food help would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'm planning a very simple
Cappellini-based dinner with salad. No promises for the other dishes except
that whatever we have will be warm. :-)

Please let me know for sure if you're coming by tomorrow.

Hasta la vista, baby.

That sounds like a fine number. You know, it *is* possible to have an
enjoyable evening with less that twenty people... ;-)

} Let me know about the generator.

Hmmm... the generator. Have you mentioned this before?
  4PM Tue - breep "Crackle-fitz-zarble-generator-zibwatzu-fftz"
2PM Wed - breep "Kim, just calling to see what's up with the generator..."
10PM Wed- e-mail "How's the RV action? Will the generator..."
6PM Thu - breep "Hey, what's up with the generator. I want to tell..."
  9AM Fri - e-mail "Aaack! Generator! GEN-e-RAT-or!"

What? Are you worried about it or something? 8^)

} We've been invited to a BBQ at Ilene's on Sunday. 1pm. You in? We can go
} straight from OMDT1.

Sounds great! "In any engagement, you must adapt your plans as the enemy

} Any chance you want to come up tomorrow (tonight) night to do traffic
} school with me?

Can I do traffic school if I don't yet officially have a convicted violation?
Hmmm...

In any event, I'll be coming up on Saturday morning. BTW, Jon and I are
meeting for lunch at noon at your place. You are welcome to join us. :->

} Potluck. Bring stuff. Juice at the very least. Then again, you're
} bringing the PH...

I'll cover the juice action. What are we going to do for burnables for the
fire pit?

} You are one tough cookie to pour milk onto lately...

That's because I've been on the Great Cookie Pilgrimage. Had I becomed
milk-sogged, I would have become too mushy to have completed the trek. It
was just like olden days, when I would travel to the Oracle... ;-)

Good. I think THEre must be something in my GENEs, though. I'm really
sleepy in the morning... so from now on I'm going to hit the refridgeRATOR

Hi Everyone!

OMDT2 (Outdoor Mobile Dinner Theater 2) is official and will be happening
next Saturday, May 22, in the afternoon. We'll be camping out somewhere near
Los Angeles. Kim and I will be finding the exact location this weekend.

I have the day off tomorrow and I'll write with more details on Monday. Just
thought I'd throw a little teaser your way...

Also, anyone who wants to go to Star Wars - Phantom Menace should email me by
Monday and we'll be buying tix then (if we can get them) for an early matinee
Sunday, May 23.

Cost: Probably $5. You may need camping gear but there will be lots of
options.

Special note: Something large and flammable will be set aglow. >-)

"I had the time of my life. Wow."
"Wouldn't it be great if the weekend before Alex threw a party!?!"
"It was better than Cats. I want to go again and again"
"We're from the campsight next to you. Can we watch?"
          -OMDT1 attendees (and visitors)

"I won't give you a citation because this is the most ingenious setup I've
ever seen"
-Ranger Bob trying to close down OMDT1
