I'm a Caltech Alum and a former member of Lloyd House who recently left Pasadena for Culver City. When I was at Tech I majored in Engineering and Applied Science, with a concentration in Electrical Engineering. I'm now a Solar Array Design Engineer at Boeing Satellite Systems. After I was laid-off last year I looked for a job in embedded systems / firmware / software engineering; something more related to what I learned in school, but I ended up at Boeing after being recommended by someone I used to work with. I'm still settling into life on the west side, and I spend time on the weekends exploring with my roommate Jeremy. Before Jeremy I lived with Rachel, who doesn't have a webpage. Back in high school I spent a lot of time with Lisa, but that's harder to do now that she lives in Texas. After finishing school I spent a month travelling around Europe with Gilead and Dave, so I got to know the two of them a lot better. I scanned in a few photos of mytrip.
I grew up in the coastal hills west of Sebastopol, CA, which is up north in redwood country. My hometown of 7,000 calls itself the "Gravenstein Apple Capitol of the World", and is pretty much the opposite of Los Angeles. Here's a photo tour of my life before Tech. Contrary to popular belief, I did actually attend classes at Tech.
I really like nature (although I don't see much of it here in LA). There are some great photos of natural and man-made snowcrystals on this webpage about the physics of snowflakes. Now that I have a job again and I'm starting to acquire some vacation time, I'd really like to travel. Lisa and I are talking about visiting Ireland next spring, and I'd also like to spend some time in London, since I missed it the last time I was in Europe. Here's a list of things I'd like to do during my life. I'm not athletic, but for some reason I made this page about sports a few years back. For my own amusement I made a list of books, movies, music, and tv shows that I like.
These are some links that I use frequently.
