Almond Roca
1 lb butter or margarine
2 c sugar
8 oz slivered almonds
12 oz chocolate chips
8 oz walnuts - chopped
- Butter a jelly-roll pan
- Melt butter and sugar in medium saucepan
- Cook over medium-high heat until 300F
- Remove and add almonds
- Spread on prepared pan. Allow to cool
- Melt 1/2 chocolate chips in a double broiler
- Spread chocolate onto toffee
- Top with walnuts
- When firm, repeat the process on the oher side
- When chocolate is set on both sides use kitchen mallet to break into small pieces
