Pie Crust (Favorite Pastry)

9 inch

1 c flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/3 c & 1 Tbs shortening

2-3 Tbs cold water

10 inch

1 1/3 c flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 c shortening

3-4 Tbs cold water

• Mix flour and salt
• Cut shortening until the size of peas
• Mix shortening into flour mix until smooth
• Sprinkle with water 1 Tbs at a time until pastry almost cleans the side of the bowl
• Roll into ball and flatten until pastry is 2in larger than inverted pie plate
