Pie Crust (Favorite Pastry)
9 inch
- 1 c flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 c & 1 Tbs shortening
- 2-3 Tbs cold water
10 inch
- 1 1/3 c flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c shortening
- 3-4 Tbs cold water
- Mix flour and salt
- Cut shortening until the size of peas
- Mix shortening into flour mix until smooth
- Sprinkle with water 1 Tbs at a time until pastry almost cleans the side of the bowl
- Roll into ball and flatten until pastry is 2in larger than inverted pie plate
