Spice Cake

2 c flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground cloves

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1/4 c butter or margarine

1/4 c shortening

1 1/2 c sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

1 1/4 c buttermilk or sourmilk

• Grease and lightly flour 13x9. Preheat oven to 350
• Combine dry ingredients - set aside
• Beat butter and shortening in a large bowl for 30s
• Add sugar and vanilla
• Add eggs one at a time
• Add flour mix alternately with milk to mix
• Pour into prepared pan
• Cook 35-40min or until toothpick comes out clean
