Hi my name is Meghan Smith. I work for a company called Public Works, Inc.. PW is a non-profit consulting company working in education. The project I mainly work on is an evaluation/research project to discover what form of professional development for teachers works to improve student test scores. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic. I lived in the campo of Barro Arriba near the pueblo of Azua. I arrived in country in September of 2003 and was there until November 2005. In 2002 I graduated from Caltech (California Institute of Technology) in Pasadena, CA with a BS in Engineering and Applied Science. I was born in and raised in Pebble Beach, CA near Monterey.

In addition to my parents, I have two sisters and a brother. Their names are Blythe, Rory, and Jessica. Blythe has a job with Stewart Title in Houston, TX working for their human resources department in quality assurance. Rory is a resident in ER medicine in Houston. Jessica works for Deloitte and Touche in San Francisco. My family also consists of one cats and one dog. I also have a pet dog who I brought back with me from the DR and Blythe has a pet cat. We had horses too, but they are all gone now.
