Here's a picture of my car. His name is Mmmax. He used to be Mmax, which stood for the Memory of Max. Max was a white mouse that I kept for a few years before he got sick and died. I had a bunch of mice in college, which I never liked that much, but I got because my roommate was allergic to cats, and I needed to have some sort of pet. My car was a little white hatchback which reminded me of Max, hence the name. Then, the car got painted flourescent green, and it seemed appropriate to rename it, the "Memory of, the Memory of Max". He is a 1992 Mazda 323. I'm not much of a painter; my little sister Carly is responsible for the ducks, the flames, and the fish. I'm getting kind of sick of Mmmax; I think he made more sense as a California car... but I still have some fondness for him, and I hardly ever drive so I'm not about to replace him. He runs great- he travelled from southern California to the tip of Maine last July, without a hitch. He just got a new master cylinder and brakes, and he made it through the Ithaca winter without rusting. Jay just bought a used Honda Accord with a sunroof and a spoiler and a 6-cd changer and a leather interior, and somtimes I just wish Mmmax would die so I could get a beautiful car too, but really, I love him, and I'll wait patiently until his end comes naturally.
