Jeremy Klein I wish that I had never quit skating. It used to be so much fun when I was actually good at it. Now I just fall whenever I do anything. That's not much fun at all. I can just imagine the blood if I tried to do what Jeremy Klein is pulling in the clip to the left. I guess I never really had a choice, though. When your mom moves you to Wyoming, you're screwed, simple as that. There wasn't even pavement there. I tried to build my own terrain, but that just didn't work. You need friends to skate with, too. Thus, the last time I was really into it, i.e. skating four hours or more every day, was 7th grade. And now I'm trying to do it again as a junior in college.
Tony Hawk It's pretty weird--I've got a lot of clips of pros on this page, and I don't know who most of them are. Thank God Tony Hawk is still around! From the looks of it, he's still the best, too. Actually, I'm lying, I just realized. I know Ray Barbee, Yogi Berra, Jeremy Klein, Alan Peterson, and Omar Hassan. But I've never heard of the rest of 'em. Another surprise is that I still know the names of most of the tricks, and that there haven't been very many new ones invented. Oh well, most tricks go in and out of style, except for big ollies and kickflips. They'll always be cool. Of course, you've got Tony doing kickflip McTwists now, but you've got to expect innovation out of him. That's a clip of him doing it to the right.
