Equality-LA is a coalition of organizations and individuals who are
committed to working in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in
Greater Los Angeles for equal marriage rights and fair treatment of
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender families through community
education and advocacy.

Pasadena. They assist persons with terminal illnesses with rent and
utilities until they get on permanent assistance.

HIV+ people in the San Gabriel Valley. They also sponsor support groups
for seropositive people and their caregivers.

The biggest concentration of gay clubs and bars in LA is in West
Hollywood. Here are just a few examples:

women (but predominantly men). Friday night is Asian night.
- The Abbey: 692 N.

Get brunch there outside some sunny day, then come back and enjoy the
bar at night.

Thursday night at Avalon is Tigerheat - the hottest 18+
night in town.
For something different, less cruisy, more laid back, and fun, try some
line dancing and two stepping:

Friday. Cheap or no cover. Friendly crowd. Get there
in time for the free dance lessons.
