- Had dim sum with Ray in Silver Spring.
- Watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on IMAX at the National Air and Space Museum.
- Brought CR-V to dealer for 10,000-mile maintenance.
- Returned sofa-sleeper to Pier 1 Imports and bought another sofa from IKEA.

- Scheduled dissertation defense for Monday, 5 December 2005. Revised dissertation.
- Finished reading Noam Chomsky: Understanding Power.
- Returned William Pleeth: Cello;
Richard J. Trudeau: Dots and Lines; and
Norman L. Biggs, E. Keith Lloyd, Robin J. Wilson: Graph Theory: 1736-1936
to the library without finishing them.
- Baked a turkey for Thanksgiving.
- Read Douglas K. Smith and Robert C. Alexander: Fumbling the Future.

- Retired the Motorola T730 and transferred my Verizon Wireless number to T-Mobile prepaid service.
