Stanley arrived in his first-class envelope at about 6:20 pm today. I was just about to start class, so I did not open the envelope and let Stanley out until after 7:00. According to the postmark, he's been in the mail for about six days and should be hungry. I fed him some cereal. His legs and neck look a bit stiff from having been bent over in the same position for so long, but there's a big smile on his face, so Stanley must be glad to be here at last.

Here's a map of South Korea to show where Stanley is now. He's in Sangju, a town of about 150,000 people in the center of the country. I teach English to children and adults at a language school in Sangju.

[GIF: Me and Stanley at the PC room] For the past two days, Stanley has mostly just rested next to the lamp in my apartment. I want him to get his strength back before he has to go to a class at my language school. But tonight he came with me to the PC room, and I took a couple of pictures with the digital camera here.

Today Stanley came with me to my Saturday lessons. I introduced him to some of the students and took a few pictures. I won't be able to post most of my pictures on this page, since I have no convenient way to scan them in.

Stanley came with me to church (the Anglican Church of Korea) today and met some of my friends there. We had noodle soup for lunch, and I took some more pictures with people at church.

Today Stanley met my 4:30 class of fourth-grade students. They also saw Annie's picture and said that she is very beautiful. The students were very surprised to find out that my sister is about the same age as they are. However, they couldn't read her letter at all because they have never studied cursive.

The students in my 4:30 class of 4th through 6th graders worked on writing a letter today and Tuesday. I'll send it to Annie at school when I get the picture of the students with Stanley developed.
